    MANAGING DIRECTOR

    Philip is a Chartered Town Planner and has 22 years of public and private sector planning experience, which has seen him undertake lead roles in the private sector.  Prior to his private sector career, Philip worked in Local Government for two English Councils, as well as being fortunate to enjoy a secondment in 2005 working for Melbourne City Council in Australia.

    Philip’s private sector planning consultancy career spanned 10 years, including in 2008 setting up a planning consultancy business for a national law firm in Birmingham and culminating in him running his own planning practice.

    Prior to forming Landra Developments in 2023, Philip was a lead director in a niche land promotion business between 2014 and 2022.  In the eight years under Philip’s leadership, this land promotion business assembled a land portfolio in excess of 2,000 houses; securing planning permission for approximately 600 of these houses, and local plan allocations for approximately 1,200 houses; resulting in a genuine 100% track record in land promotion.

    Philip has considerable experience of securing planning permissions for large scale, complex and strategic mixed-use projects of a high political/public profile, either through the development plan and/or planning application process, or at appeal.

  • NEVIN HOLDEN

    LAND DIRECTOR

    Nevin is a Chartered Town Planner and an Associate of the RICS, Planning and Development Division. He has 38 years’ experience in the residential housing development sector with a principle focus on development land acquisition, project management and town planning.

     

    Nevin has held senior management positions in both private land development companies and national plc housebuilders.

     

    Prior to joining Landra Developments, Nevin was South West Regional Manager for a private national strategic land promotion company specialising in both small and large scale residential, and residential led mixed use, development schemes. During his career, Nevin has worked in companies covering England, Scotland, and Wales. However, his main focus has always been the South and West Midlands, and the South West of England, where he has a proven track record and reputation for securing immediate and strategic land for residential and residential led mixed use development opportunities.

     

    During his 38 year career within the development industry, Nevin has demonstrated his ability to take the lead role in a variety of immediate and strategic land projects.  He has considerable experience in leading consultant teams and dealing with, and finding solutions to, complex infrastructure and planning matters for both small and large scale projects.  Nevin has a proven track record in delivering high quality, high profile, economically viable, market facing planning permissions through strategic land promotion, review to development plans, and the planning application process.

    ASSOCIATE LAND DIRECTOR

    Chris is a Chartered Planning and Development Surveyor and has over a decade’s worth of experience in the public and private sectors. During his career Chris has led on a significant number of major development projects of both regional and national significance on-behalf of a wide array of landowner clients.

     

    Chris started off his career in the public sector before moving into the private sector, culminating in 6 years within the Savills development team in Birmingham, as Associate Director. Whilst at Savills, Chris demonstrated his ability to source and deliver complex residential development projects, whilst ensuring that landowners’ aspirations and needs were met along with optimising financial return.

     

    Having taken up the opportunity to join Landra Developments as Associate Land Director, Chris is responsible for the identification, acquisition, and subsequent disposal of future land promotion opportunities.
